Crash Bash (originally titled Crash'm Bash'm) is the second episode of the original incarnation of The Caddicarus Show.
Synopsis[]
Caddy takes a look at the first Crash Bandicoot game made after Naughty Dog left, Crash Bash, constantly adding letters to the title throughout the review leading to the game being called Crash'm Bash'm' and Crashley Bashley Ashley among other things.
Despite the nonsensical opening, the needless inclusion of character Rilla Roo whom Caddy dubs "Gorilla Monkey Anus Face" and an Adventure Mode that drags on and is needed to unlock multiplayer content, he considers this a okay party game with friends around.
The episode ends with a voiceover menacingly noting that Crash would be resigned to largely mediocre games afterwards, including Crash Boom Bang, much to Caddy's dismay.
Overview[]
Pros[]
+ The music and graphics are good and true to the style of Crash Bandicoot.
+ The Minigames get better and trickier as the game goes on.
+ The different attributes for the characters adds a bit of strategy to the minigames.
Cons[]
- The Adventure Mode can drag on and is the only means of unlocking multiplayer content.
- The arranging and absence of characters such as no N. Gin and N. Brio being on the Bad Guy team
- The AI can be pathetic, namely in the earlier minigames.
Trivia[]
- This episode introduces The Top Whatever Number Reasons This Intro Makes No Fucking Sense Whatsoever that would appear in later episodes.
- Caddy revisited this game in "The Depressing World of Bad Crash Bandicoot Games" in 2020, where he was far more critical of the game due to how tedious the main single player adventure mode is. He referred back to this review in said video, criticizing his older views.
