CaddysRetrospectivesHeading

Caddy's Retrospectives was a show on Caddicarus' channel. He would review the first three games of any gaming franchise and give a serious and in-depth analysis of them. The series was cancelled in 2016 due to Caddy wanting to have a more controlled schedule of upload times.

Franchises Covered[]

  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Tekken
  • Oddworld
  • Max Payne
  • Sly Cooper
  • Gex
  • Uncharted

Trivia[]

  • During his third Max Payne retrospective, Caddy got his hair shaved when he compared his life to Max Payne including shaving his hair, though he was unaware of his hair being shaved until he started to touch his head.
    • This is also the last series to show Caddy with hair until his PS1 Spider-Man review in 2017 and the first series to show Caddy sporting a buzzcut (referring to himself as an egg).
  • After the cancellation of Caddy's Retrospectives, Caddy announced that gags from the show will later appear in a Caddicarus format such as:
    • His 1 million subscriber special episode on the Spyro trilogy.
    • The Fun Fact gag.
    • Games that he already reviewed in Retrospectives will later be revisited.
  • His segment on Metal Gear has an factual error regarding release dates. His choices of the considered first three games was Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Actually the first game to be released was Metal Gear and it was released in 1987 on MSX2 and although Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was the second game chronologically it wasn't released in Europe until 2006 under Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence but the second Metal Gear game to release in Europe was a non-canon game called Snake's Revenge in 1992 on the Nintendo Entertainment System. So technically the first three games released in Europe is Metal Gear, Snake's Revenge and Metal Gear Sold.
